On some level I have always been aware of the world of subtle energy. As a child I could just tell if someone was trustworthy or not, which developed over the years into what I came to call my “bs-ometer.”
In my late teens and twenties I began doing a lot of reading about energy and spirituality. I had knowings about things and was hooked on trying to figure it all out! In my thirties I found Reiki. In my mid-forties I joined a metaphysical group studying astrology, tarot, numerology, and energy work. In my late forties I discovered Donna Eden, becoming a Clinical Practitioner through her certification program. And in my mid-fifties I was inspired to write a series of children’s books – about energy!
In one of my first blog posts, I explained how I came to write my books, and there was nothing at all subtle about it! In a very specific flash of awareness, I was told that I was going to write a series of children’s books about the energy of love, what the title was going to be, that it was going to be written in rhyme scheme, the first two lines of the first book, and who the illustrator was meant to be!
So, in taking this extremely direct mandate from the cosmos to heart, I’ve given it my best shot… In my first book, Did You Know?: love-light, I introduce the idea that we can connect with the energy of love that lives inside of us. In my second book, Did You Know?: night sky, I introduce the idea that we and the entire universe are made of the energy of love. And in my third book, Did You Know?: forevermore, soon to come out, I introduce the idea that the energy of love transcends loss.
Through all of these many years I’ve learned A LOT about energy from a variety of people, and I have always enjoyed sharing my experiences along the way. Besides what I’ve already mentioned, I’ve read countless books, taken live and on-line courses, listened to webinars, etc. There’s never an end in the discovery of energy; you just keep expanding with it and making it your own. Once I learn and integrate something, it seems that I’m always ready for MORE!
Note: You may have read how I recycle papers. Well, as part of that practice I use the backsides of the pages from a Louise Hay daily affirmation calendar that someone gave me last year. A couple of hours after I had finished working on this post yesterday, I received confirmation about the last paragraph when I grabbed the top page of the stack to make a quick note.
This is what it said:

Life = Energy
Gotta love it!
I’ll definitely visit this blog again, thank you 🙂
