When I had my practice, I loved sharing the world of Eden Energy Medicine with others by also teaching classes and leading study groups in the community. It was especially gratifying for me when people consciously felt their own energy flowing for the first time on my table or when learning how to do a technique. That surprised look, or even that little, nervous not-sure-what-the-heck-is-going-on laugh, was definite confirmation that something different had just happened, shifting reality forever!
I taught a series of classes called Energy Medicine and You!, covering topics like hormones, joy, detoxing, and the stress response. I also taught a class about The D.E.R. or Daily Energy Routine, a great intro to Donna Eden’s energy exercises. Below is an excerpt from that particular class flyer.
These exercises are a wonderful way to learn about energy. I do them nearly every day on my morning walks, incorporating a few other techniques along with the D.E. R. But I don’t just stop there, because I use techniques like these whenever I need them.
Whether I’m a bit tired, disconnected, feeling a cold coming on, worried, or maybe I just can’t gather my thoughts, I first reach for an energy exercise to see if it will help, because when WE are not flowing well, SOMETHING (mental, emotional, physical) is inhibiting that flow.
Think of it like fixing a clog in the sink. If we don’t do anything to move whatever is stuck in the drain, water backs up more and more. We are after a healthy flow, and since our systems are all connected energetically, working to help that happen in one area helps other areas, too.
