Wonderfully fantastic…

After my father passed away, my family and I stayed at a hotel on the California coast where we had celebrated my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary the year before. We went there for the weekend to talk and remember and decompress.

The weather had been perfect, and the hotel property was beautiful with manicured grounds and an ocean view. My mother took tons of pictures because it was gorgeous wherever you looked. After we got home she uploaded the images onto her computer and made a very surprising discovery.

Mom had spied little colorful “dots” that were not a natural part of the landscape. She was curious so she enlarged those particular photos, and what she found is what you see above – an orb! (The bottom pic is a magnified version of the top. See the orb on the left side of the hedge?)

There were actually two orbs, this one and another that was pink. Because they were hanging out with each other, plus the fact that they exposed themselves to us, we say that the blue one is my dad and the other one is his mother. We knew that Dad was there with us in spirit, but how wonderfully fantastic it is to have this visual confirmation as an added bonus!

  1. I love this srory. Yesterday I went to a celebration of life for a friend of mine who passed away a couple of weeks ago. When I was getting dressed I turned on the light in my bedroom, the light was going on and off very deliberately. I knew it was a sign of goodbye from Sue. Funny how things show up.
