If you have ever visited my blog site, you will recognize the photo above as another version of the one on my welcome page. This bowl houses layers of crystals, rocks, and lots of other goodies that friends have given to me over the years. I have added a few things of my own from time to time, but most of the pieces have been gifts.
This is a very special collection to me. Besides what you can see there are also angels, dragonflies, heart-shaped rocks, all colors of our Earth, and other power words and symbols, I just counted out eighty-eight bits of love ranging in size from one quarter inch to several inches, each having its own story to tell.
Every time I come into my office, I see this bowl sitting on my desk. Since it is clear glass, so much of its contents are visible from all angles, gifts of friendship ever present and peeking out at me. It’s a wonderful reminder of the many blessings I’ve experienced because of others, and its words of wisdom greet me with every glance.
