Tea time…

My daughter and I took my mother-in-law to Dragonfly Tea Room, a really cute local spot, for a belated Mother’s Day luncheon the other day. My mother-in-law hadn’t been there before and really enjoyed the delicious goodies as well as being surrounded by all kinds of lovely things related to tea.

The owner offers a different themed menu every month, and as you can see, she goes all out to make it special. A few prior themes this year centered on Indian, French, and Spanish cultures, while some others in the months ahead will invite you into the fantasy worlds of Harry Potter, Alice in Wonderland and The Hobbit. So fun!

My daughter and I were reminiscing about how we had brought my mother here for Mother’s Day after it had opened five years ago. It was the last time she had been healthy enough to do something like this with us. It is a happy memory we share and we were glad to be able to introduce it to another grandmother.
